Question: How can I promote a pawn to a knight?
Answer: In the factory setting the program always promotes a pawn to a queen. This is after all what most people want. If you would like to promote to a different piece, as the pawn moves on to the final rank press the key combination “Ctrl-Shift”.
Then the following dialog is displayed:
A click of the mouse allows you to select an alternative piece if you do not wish to promote to a queen.
