Colours in variations

It is possible to alter the display in ChessBase to differentiate between variations in the notation.

With a rightclick on one of the variations you get the following dialog.

Now select “Special Annotation” from the pop-up menu and then “Variation Colour”.

The Windows color palette appears now.

Select a color by moving the crosshairs in the right panel and select a colour of you choice.

Confirm your selection with OK and the following dialog appears.

For a first test select “Include Sublines”. After confirming with “OK” we’ll see the variation changed in the notation.

Use the “Save” or “Replace” command to store the changes.
