Question: I have a short question about the new Chessbase 15.
For the “new 3d boards in Raytracing technology” do you need one of the new RTX 20xx graphics cards? The boards/pieces are surely not “live raytraced” during a game in 3d?
Answer: The function “Raytracing” is based exclusively on the CPU of the computer. The boards and the pieces are rendered “live”! If the user does not change the position/perspective of the display the quality of that display improves as the computing time increases.
