Question: I bought Fritz 17 new and miss the Fritz17 engine ? It is not shown in the loading dialog for the chess engines. Is there a possibility that I can install the engine?
Answer: in rare cases it happens that the installer does not install the engine. But you have the possibility to download the engine and install it afterwards.
The download is available at the download address below:
https://download.chessbase.com/support/setup_fritz_17.exe
Download the Exe file, save it and execute it manually from your hard disk. After installation, the engine is displayed in the load dialog.
