White screen

Problem: my notebook may not be the very latest, but it does have an i7 processor and my older ChessBase programs work on it without any problems. Only Fritz 16 now starts with a completely white window, i.e. everything is seen in white.

Whenever the mouse is moved over the window, on some parts things are displayed such as “Quit program”, etc. I have installed a first F16 update, Windows 7 is up-to-date. Is there any cure for this???

Solution: You should check the resolution and colour depth you are using and change the settings. As a rule, changing the colour setting to 16 bit – as in the present case – is helpful.
