To chat in this case means to have a conversation over the internet by typing questions, amswers, etc. With the Web App for the chess server you can chat with other users. In the player list click on a participant.
Tip: Remember that the complete chat function is only possible with someone who has an active player account.
Then that person’s name appears in the input box in the chat window.
