Question: I have downloaded and installed a FritzTrainer chess course that has been released in 2017. I can open the database, but I do not get a video displayed. What am I doing wrong? The video files in WMV format are available.
Answer: The videos of older FritzTrainer courses (till 2017) are recorded in a slightly modified WMV file format. You have to make sure that video acceleration is unchecked in your Windows Media Player so that the videos can be played.
[Since 2018 we use the mp4 format for the FritzTrainer videos.]
Important: DxVA should be unchecked.
