The ChessBase program offers an interface to a continuously updated online database. If you are logged into the program with a ChessBase Premium account, you can start searches without a database stored locally on your hard drive.
The easiest way to access the database is to click the Online button in the database window. This will start an input line that allows you to quickly perform more complex searches.
The function is similar to a Google search on the Internet. The program automatically interprets what is meant by the individual search texts. The procedure is similar to the search input via input line for locally stored databases.
The program filters all games from the online database that match the given search criteria.
The games are displayed in the Search Results window. If you select a list entry, you can play the selected game directly in the notation window.
