If you insert move corrections in ChessBase when editing games, the new move is immediately inserted as a variant within the notation. In earlier versions of the program, the Variant dialog was displayed, allowing you to define how specifically the move should be classified within the notation.
To display the dialog, simply press the CTRL key on the keyboard while entering the move. Then the dialog is displayed and you can define what should happen to the move.
